Einar Diaz (Einar Antonio Diaz) was born on December 28, 1972 in Chiriqui, Panama. He made his Major League debut on September 9, 1996 for the Cleveland Indians. In 1999, his rookie year, he hit .281 with 3 home runs and 32 RBI. Diaz played for the Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers, Montreal Expos, St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Dodgers over the course of his 11 year career.

Most people believe that Einar Diaz's best season was 2001, when he hit for a .277 average and knocked in 56 runs.
