Born on February 1, 1970 in Barquisimeto, Lara (Venezuela), Edwin Hurtado (Edwin Amilgar Hurtado) played for the Toronto Blue Jays and Seattle Mariners over the course of his 3 year career. Hurtado broke into the bigs on May 22, 1995 with the Toronto Blue Jays, and put up a 5.45 ERA in 77.2 innings pitched in 1995, his rookie year.
