Edward Morris

Born on September 29, 1862 in Brooklyn, New York, Ed Morris (Edward Morris) played for the Columbus Colts, Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Burghers over the course of his 7 year career. Morris broke into the bigs on May 1, 1884 with the Columbus Colts, and put up a 2.18 ERA in 429.2 innings pitched in 1884, his rookie year.
There is some disagreement on what was Ed Morris's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1886, when he posted a 2.45 ERA, won 41 games and struck out 326 batters. However, others believe that it was 1884, when he posted a 2.18 ERA, won 34 games and struck out 302 batters.
