Doc Marshall (Edward Harbert Marshall) was born on June 4, 1906 in New Albany, Mississippi. He made his Major League debut on September 28, 1929 for the New York Giants. In 1930, his rookie year, he hit .309 with 0 home runs and 21 RBI. Marshall played for the New York Giants for his entire 4 year career.
Most people believe that Doc Marshall's best season was 1930, when he hit for a .309 average.
