Edward David Phillips

Eddie Phillips (Edward David Phillips) was born on February 17, 1901 in Worcester, Massachusetts. He made his Major League debut on May 4, 1924 for the Boston Braves. In 1929, his rookie year, he hit .235 with 2 home runs and 21 RBI. Phillips played for the Boston Braves, Detroit Tigers, Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Yankees, Washington Senators and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 6 year career.
