Biography
Edgar Renteria (Edgar Enrique Renteria) was born on August 7, 1976 in Barranquilla, Colombia. He made his Major League debut on May 10, 1996 for the Florida Marlins. In 1996, his rookie year, he hit .309 with 5 home runs and 31 RBI. Renteria played for the Florida Marlins, St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Red Sox, Atlanta Braves, and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 12 year career.
Most people believe that Edgar Renteria's best season was 2003, when he stole 34 bases, hit for a .330 average and knocked in 100 runs.
