Edgar Chandler (Edgar Chandler, Jr.) was born on August 31, 1946 in Cedartown, Georgia. After going to high school at Cedartown (GA), Chandler attended the University of Georgia. Chandler made his professional debut in the AFL in 1968 with the Buffalo Bills. He played in the AFL for 2 years, playing for the Buffalo Bills the entire time. Chandler also played in the NFL for 4 years, playing for the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots over the course of his 4 year NFL career.

Most people believe that 1970 was Edgar Chandler's best year, as he ran back an interception for a touchdown.
