Eddie Robinson (William Edward Robinson) was born on December 15, 1920 in Paris, Texas. He made his Major League debut on September 9, 1942 for the Cleveland Indians. In 1947, his rookie year, he hit .245 with 14 home runs and 52 RBI. Robinson played for the Cleveland Indians, Washington Senators, Chicago White Sox, Philadelphia Athletics, New York Yankees, Kansas City Athletics and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 13 year career.

Most people believe that Eddie Robinson's best season was 1951, when he slugged 29 home runs, hit for a .282 average and knocked in 117 runs.
