Eddie Novak (Edward Joseph Novak) was born on August 3, 1896. After going to high school at Central (Minneapolis, MN), Novak attended none. Novak made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Rock Island Independents. He played in the APFA for 2 years, playing for the Rock Island Independents the entire time. Novak also played in the NFL for 3 years, playing for the Rock Island Independents and Minneapolis Marines over the course of his 3 year NFL career.Novak also played in the AFLG for 1 year, playing for the Rock Island Independents the entire time.

Most people believe that 1921 was Eddie Novak's best year, as he ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
