Eddie Macon (Edwin Donald Macon) was born on March 7, 1927 in Shafter, California. After going to high school at Stockton (CA), Macon attended the University of Pacific. Macon made his professional debut in the NFL in 1952 with the Chicago Bears. He played in the NFL for 2 years, playing for the Chicago Bears the entire time. Macon also played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the Oakland Raiders the entire time.

Most people believe that 1953 was Eddie Macon's best year.
