Eddie Hinton (Eddie Gerald Hinton) was born on June 26, 1947 in Lawton, Oklahoma. After going to high school at Lawton (OK), Hinton attended the University of Oklahoma. Hinton made his professional debut in the NFL in 1969 with the Baltimore Colts. He played for the Baltimore Colts, New England Patriots and Houston Oilers over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that 1970 was Eddie Hinton's best year, as he hauled in 47 receptions, had 733 receiving yards and caught 5 TD passes.
