Born on March 18, 1888 in Nevada, Illinois, Eddie Higgins (Thomas Edward Higgins) played for the St. Louis Cardinals for his entire 2 year career. Higgins broke into the bigs on May 14, 1909 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 4.50 ERA in 66 innings pitched in 1909, his rookie year.
