Born on July 16, 1936 in Shreveport, Louisiana, Eddie Fisher (Eddie Gene Fisher) played for the San Francisco Giants, Chicago White Sox, Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Indians, California Angels and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 15 year career. Fisher broke into the bigs on June 22, 1959 with the San Francisco Giants, and put up a 3.10 ERA in 182.2 innings pitched in 1962, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Eddie Fisher's best season was 1965, when he posted a 2.40 ERA, won 15 games, notched 24 saves and struck out 90 batters.
