Eddie Chavis (Edward L. Chavis) was born on July 12, 1963 in Plainfield, New Jersey. After going to high school at Plainfield (NJ), Chavis attended Montclair State University. Chavis made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the Miami Dolphins. He played for the Miami Dolphins for his entire 1 year career.
