Eddie Carnett (Edwin Elliott Carnett) was born on October 21, 1916 in Springfield, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on April 19, 1941 for the Boston Braves. In 1944, his rookie year, he hit .276 with 1 home run and 60 RBI. Carnett played for the Boston Braves, Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 3 year career.
