Eddie Basinski (Edwin Frank Basinski) was born on November 4, 1922 in Buffalo, New York. He made his Major League debut on May 20, 1944 for the Brooklyn Dodgers. In 1945, his rookie year, he hit .262 with 0 home runs and 33 RBI. Basinski played for the Brooklyn Dodgers and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 3 year career.
