Born on October 26, 1958 in Redlands, California, Ed Vande Berg (Edward John Vande Berg) played for the Seattle Mariners, Los Angeles Dodgers, Cleveland Indians and Texas Rangers over the course of his 7 year career. Vande Berg broke into the bigs on April 7, 1982 with the Seattle Mariners, and put up a 2.37 ERA in 76 innings pitched in 1982, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Ed Vande Berg's best season was 1982, when he posted a 2.37 ERA and struck out 60 batters.
