Ed Sutton (Edward Wike Sutton) was born on March 16, 1935 in Sylva, North Carolina. After going to high school at Cullowhee (NC), Sutton attended the University of North Carolina. Sutton made his professional debut in the NFL in 1957 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins and New York Giants over the course of his 4 year career.
