Ed Stansbury (Edmund Elisala born Ieremia-Stansbury) was born on May 3, 1979 in El Paso, Texas. After going to high school at Irvin (El Paso, TX), Stansbury attended the University of California - Los Angeles. Stansbury made his professional debut in the NFL in 2002 with the Houston Texans. He played for the Houston Texans for his entire his first year and returned in for his last year in 2004. In 2003 Stansbury spent his time with the Seattle Seahawks.
