Ed Spiezio (Edward Wayne Spiezio) was born on October 31, 1941 in Joliet, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on July 23, 1964 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1969, his rookie year, he hit .234 with 13 home runs and 43 RBI. Spiezio played for the St. Louis Cardinals, San Diego Padres and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 8 year career.

Most people believe that Ed Spiezio's best season was 1970, when he hit for a .285 average.
