Born on April 2, 1875 in Goddard, Kansas, Ed Siever (Edward Tilden Siever) played for the Detroit Tigers and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 7 year career. Siever broke into the bigs on April 26, 1901 with the Detroit Tigers, and put up a 3.24 ERA in 288.2 innings pitched in 1901, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Ed Siever's best season was 1907, when he posted a 2.16 ERA, won 18 games and struck out 88 batters.
