Ed Scrutchins (Edward Sean Scrutchins) was born on July 28, 1941 in Americus, Georgia. After going to high school at Aliquippa (PA), Scrutchins attended the University of Toledo. Scrutchins made his professional debut in the AFL in 1966 with the Houston Oilers. He played for the Houston Oilers for his entire 1 year career.
