Ed Sales (Edward A. Sales) was born on 1861 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on July 15, 1890 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1890, his rookie year, he hit .228 with 1 home run and 23 RBI. Sales played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 1 year career.
