Ed Ryan (Edward Dennis Ryan) was born on December 29, 1925 in Banff, Alb.. After going to high school at Vancouver (B.C.), Ryan attended St. Mary's College of California. Ryan made his professional debut in the NFL in 1948 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for his entire 1 year career.
