[edit] Biography

Born on July 3, 1931 in East Millsboro, Pennsylvania, Ed Roebuck (Edward Jack Roebuck) played for the Brooklyn Dodgers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Washington Senators and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 11 year career. Roebuck broke into the bigs on April 18, 1955 with the Brooklyn Dodgers, and put up a 4.71 ERA in 84 innings pitched in 1955, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Ed Roebuck's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1962, when he posted a 3.09 ERA, won 10 games and struck out 72 batters. However, others believe that it was 1960, when he posted a 2.78 ERA and struck out 77 batters.
