Ed Quirk (Ed George Quirk) was born on February 27, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri. After going to high school at University (St. Louis, MO), Quirk attended the University of Missouri. Quirk made his professional debut in the NFL in 1948 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins for his entire 4 year career.
Most people believe that 1948 was Ed Quirk's best year, as he ran in 4 TDs.
