Ed Philpott

Ed Philpott (Edward Philpott) was born on September 14, 1945 in Wichita, Kansas. After going to high school at Brookside (Sheffield Lake, OH), Philpott attended Miami University of Ohio. Philpott made his professional debut in the AFL in 1967 with the Boston Patriots. He played in the AFL for 3 years, playing for the Boston Patriots the entire time. Philpott also played in the NFL for 2 years, playing for the New England Patriots and Boston Patriots over the course of his 2 year NFL career.
Most people believe that 1968 was Ed Philpott's best year, as he picked off 4 passes and ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
