Ed Nutting (John Edward Nutting) was born on February 8, 1939 in Washington, District Of Columbia. After going to high school at Northside (Atlanta, GA), Nutting attended Georgia Institure of Technology. Nutting made his professional debut in the NFL in 1961 with the Cleveland Browns. He played for the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns over the course of his 2 year career.
