Ed Newman (Edward Kenneth Newman) was born on June 4, 1951 in Woodbury, New York. After going to high school at Syossett (NY), Newman attended Duke University. Newman made his professional debut in the NFL in 1973 with the Miami Dolphins. He played for the Miami Dolphins for his entire 12 year career.

Most people believe that 1974 was Ed Newman's best year.
