Ed Montague (Edward Francis Montague) was born on July 24, 1905 in San Francisco, California. He made his Major League debut on May 14, 1928 for the Cleveland Indians. In 1930, his rookie year, he hit .263 with 1 home run and 16 RBI. Montague played for the Cleveland Indians for his entire 4 year career.

Most people believe that Ed Montague's best season was 1931, when he hit for a .285 average.
