Ed Mcnamara (Edmund L. McNamara) was born on April 13, 1920 in East Boston, Massachusetts. After going to high school at Clinton (MA), Mcnamara attended Holy Cross College. Mcnamara made his professional debut in the NFL in 1945 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for his entire 1 year career.
