Born on January 10, 1879 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, Ed McNichol (Edwin Briggs McNichol) played for the Boston Beaneaters for his entire 1 year career. McNichol broke into the bigs on July 9, 1904 with the Boston Beaneaters, and put up a 4.28 ERA in 122 innings pitched in 1904, his rookie year.
