Ed Matesic

Ed Matesic (Edward J. Matesic) was born on November 6, 1907 in Marshall County, West Virginia. After going to high school at Benwood (WV), Matesic attended the University of Pittsburgh. Matesic made his professional debut in the NFL in 1934 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1936 was Ed Matesic's best year.
