Ed Manske (Edgar Manske) was born on July 4, 1913 in Nekoosa, Wisconsin. After going to high school at Nekoosa (WI), Manske attended Northwestern University. Manske made his professional debut in the NFL in 1935 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Chicago Bears, Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 6 year career.
Most people believe that 1935 was Ed Manske's best year, as he caught 4 TD passes.
