Ed Linke

Born on November 9, 1911 in Chicago, Illinois, Ed Linke (Edward Karl Linke) played for the Washington Senators and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 6 year career. Linke broke into the bigs on April 27, 1933 with the Washington Senators, and put up a 5.01 ERA in 178 innings pitched in 1935, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Ed Linke's best season was 1935, when he won 11 games and struck out 51 batters.
