Ed Levy (Edward Clarence Levy) was born on October 28, 1916 in Birmingham, Alabama. He made his Major League debut on April 16, 1940 for the New York Yankees. In 1944, his rookie year, he hit .242 with 4 home runs and 29 RBI. Levy played for the New York Yankees for his entire 2 year career.
