Ed Lechner (Edgar H. Lechner) was born on December 14, 1919 in Fessenden, North Dakota. Lechner attended the University of Minnesota. Lechner made his professional debut in the NFL in 1942 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 1 year career.
