Ed Lawrence (Edward James Lawrence) was born on July 14, 1905 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. After going to high school at Fitchburg (MA), Lawrence attended Brown University. Lawrence made his professional debut in the NFL in 1929 with the Boston Bulldogs. He played for the Staten Island Stapletons and Boston Bulldogs over the course of his 2 year career.
