Ed Kolman (Edward Victor Kolman) was born on October 21, 1917 in Brooklyn, New York. After going to high school at Boys (Brooklyn, NY), Kolman attended Temple University. Kolman made his professional debut in the NFL in 1940 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears and New York Giants over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that 1949 was Ed Kolman's best year.
