Ed Kissell (Edward John Julius Kissell) was born on September 29, 1929 in Nashua, New Hampshire. After going to high school at Marianapolis Academy (Thompson, CT) and Nashua (NH), Kissell attended Wake Forest University. Kissell made his professional debut in the NFL in 1952 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1952 was Ed Kissell's best year, as he picked off 5 passes.
