Born on February 2, 1863 in Dubuque, Iowa, Ed Keas (Edward James Keas) played for the Cleveland Spiders for his entire 1 year career. Keas broke into the bigs on August 25, 1888 with the Cleveland Spiders, and put up a 2.29 ERA in 51 innings pitched in 1888, his rookie year.
