Ed Jeffers (Edward Francis Jeffers) was born on November 6, 1921 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma. After going to high school at McAlester (OK), Jeffers attended Oklahoma State University. Jeffers made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1947 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers for his entire 1 year career.
