Ed Goodson

Ed Goodson (James Edward Goodson) was born on January 25, 1948 in Pulaski, Virginia. He made his Major League debut on September 5, 1970 for the San Francisco Giants. In 1972, his rookie year, he hit .280 with 6 home runs and 30 RBI. Goodson played for the San Francisco Giants, Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers over the course of his 8 year career.
Most people believe that Ed Goodson's best season was 1973, when he hit for a .302 average and knocked in 53 runs.
