Ed Frutig (Edward C. Frutig) was born on August 19, 1920 in River Rouge, Michigan. After going to high school at River Rouge (MI), Frutig attended the University of Michigan. Frutig made his professional debut in the NFL in 1941 with the Green Bay Packers. He played for the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions over the course of his 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1946 was Ed Frutig's best year.
