Ed Ecker (Enrique Edward Ecker) was born on January 21, 1923 in Cleveland, Ohio. Ecker attended John Carroll University. Ecker made his professional debut in the NFL in 1947 with the Chicago Bears. He played in the NFL for 4 years, playing for the Green Bay Packers, Washington Redskins and Chicago Bears over the course of his 4 year NFL career.Ecker also played in the AAFC for 1 year, playing for the Chicago Rockets the entire time.

Most people believe that 1947 was Ed Ecker's best year.
