Born on August 17, 1907 in Chester, South Carolina, Ed Durham (Edward Fant Durham) played for the Boston Red Sox and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 5 year career. Durham broke into the bigs on April 19, 1929 with the Boston Red Sox, and put up a 4.69 ERA in 140 innings pitched in 1930, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Ed Durham's best season was 1933, when he posted a 4.48 ERA, won 10 games and struck out 65 batters.
