Ed Doyle (Elmer John Doyle) was born on July 5, 1905 in Buffalo, New York. After going to high school at Canisius Prep (Buffalo, NY) and Hutchinson (Buffalo, NY), Doyle attended Canisius College. Doyle made his professional debut in the NFL in 1927 with the Buffalo Bisons. He played for the Buffalo Bisons for his entire 1 year career.
