Born on December 3, 1939 in Brooklyn, New York, Ed Connolly (Edward Joseph Connolly, Jr.) played for the Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 2 year career. Connolly broke into the bigs on April 19, 1964 with the Boston Red Sox, and put up a 4.91 ERA in 80.2 innings pitched in 1964, his rookie year.
