Born on March 22, 1909 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Ed Cole (Edward William Cole) played for the St. Louis Browns for his entire 2 year career. Cole broke into the bigs on April 22, 1938 with the St. Louis Browns, and put up a 5.18 ERA in 88.2 innings pitched in 1938, his rookie year.
