Ed Champagne (Edward J. Champagne) was born on December 4, 1922 in New Orleans, Louisiana. After going to high school at St. Peter's (New Orleans, LA), Champagne attended Louisiana State University. Champagne made his professional debut in the NFL in 1947 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played for the Los Angeles Rams for his entire 4 year career.

Most people believe that 1950 was Ed Champagne's best year.
